Matt Davison lived in Wellington for twenty years untill moving to Auckland, New Zealand in 1996.

He currently resides there however often returns to Wellington and will be moving to Melbourne Australia early 2005. Schooling for Matt was at St Marks boys school, Wellesey boys school ,Wellington College with a one year stint at Nelson college boarding school for boys in 1988. There, although not achieving fantastic grades in most mainstream subjects, Matt Excelled in Art, drama and completed film and television studies in sixth form with good grades. With musical talent running in the family (father being a musician) Matt learnt and played the drums for the Nelson College big band and had his own band at Welllington College aptly titled Mental notes, after an album by his favorite rock band, New Zealand's own Split Enz.
